The endless drones, distant drums mystic chants are carrying the listener away to dreams of a primordial age, were the red paintings on the walls of the cave come to life to tell stories of even more ancient gatherings, hunts and meetings with the spirits of the ancestors. The length of the tracks is just perfect to zone out and to get lost in hazy visions of a world long gone...a deep, meditative masterpiece. Favorite track: Part III: Shaman.

Eric First listened to this album while driving in Iceland. The feel of the music fit the alien, primordial landscape perfectly! Favorite track: Part I: Pathfinder.

Yawning Druid Paleowolf is one of my favorite artists in the current ambient scene. Prehistoric Meditations is a gorgeous display of his talent, creating immersive soundscapes of prehistoric lands and dusty, uninhabitated caves.
